Review Details

First of all, I live in the US so the first thing I did was cut the restrictor out (no regulation here). I have a 2003 Derbi Senda Xtreme SM with a Metrakit 70cc kit and a 21mm Mikuni carburetor with a 14/53 gearing. Definitely lost a little low end power with this pipe versus stock but when the power band kicks in my bike becomes a whole new beast. Almost wheelied a couple times by accident in first and even lifted the front a little in second without trying. It also gives the exhaust that nice metallic 2-stroke sound without being too annoying. Installation was not too tough either. It took me about 2 hours to install by myself but I have been an auto mechanic for over 10 years so it might be tougher for others. Build quality is superb as well and the kit includes everything you need for a perfect fit (hint: don't tighten anything until you put everything together in its place and use lots of lube on the rubber connectors!) I am completely satisfied with this pipe for my setup, but obviously I can't comment on it in restricted form.
